Position Summary:

The Application Help Desk Specialist is an entry-level position that will be the first line of communication for application issues within the organization. The Application Help Desk Specialist will support the team with application tickets, coding and reporting for our ticketing system. We are looking for a motivated customer-oriented individual with an eagerness to learn. This is a fast paced and ever-changing environment with opportunity to grow.

 

 

Required Experience:

  • Four-year college degree (or equivalent)
  • Six months to 1 year of experience required in IT industry
  • Experience working with Windows Operating Systems
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team environment
  • Good problem solving & relationship building skills

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide friendly telephone, remote and on-site troubleshooting, training and technical support to end users
  • Adhere to established methods & procedures for responding to and documenting support requests
  • Respond to all emails and voicemails in a timely manner (within 1 business day)
  • Code and dispatch tickets amongst multiple applications we support
  • Data entry, data validity, report testing and spot checking of information
  • Participate in meetings and document data gathering
  • Code all incoming tickets in the internal ticketing system
  • Assist with ongoing projects
  • Work as part of a team to deliver the best possible service to the company and its vendors
  • Other duties as assigned

General Working Conditions:

This position entails sitting for long periods of time.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects.  The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.  This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens.  The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
