The Accounts Payable Coordinator performs accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of payable transactions. Perform inventory and general ledger reconciliations.


Required Experience for Accounts Payable Coordinator:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or one to three years of accounts payable and general accounting experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of accounts payable system, general accounting procedures and how to process invoices
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Confidentiality, organizing, prioritizing, attention to detail and accuracy are crucial
  • Knowledge of relevant computer applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Proficient in data entry
  • Work to improve the automation of functions
  • Good communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Team player with the ability to build and leverage internal and external relationships

Primary Responsibilities for Accounts Payable Coordinator:

  • Maintains vendor set up process:  enter information into system, update insurance certificates, confirm accuracy
  • Concur admin: maintain employee database, manage issues, set up payments, audit and review reports, process bi-weekly reimbursements
  • Intercompany billing: maintain intercompany (and affiliates) accounts payable and reciveable charges and monthly reconciliation.
  • Assist with invoice entry, approval, check selection, Mailing checks and filing documents as needed
  • Researches requirements and retains appropriate vendor insurance
  • Prepare analysis of accounts and assists in month-end closing, produces monthly or other reports as needed
  • Work toward continual improvement of the overall organization
  • Performs other similar or related duties as necessary
