Position Summary:           


The Onboarding Team Leader is a high-performing experienced and customer service professional. This role is focused on listening to, caring for and connecting with employees, candidates, and business leaders from the on-boarding process throughout their journey. In this role, The Onboarding Team Leader will support, train, and develop their team in answering calls in an efficient, courteous, and accurate manner, while assessing customer needs and offering solutions. The overall goal is to create the absolute best experience and making the employee feel they belong and matter to the CommonSail family.

Required Experience:


  • Minimum of 5-7 years of solid customer service experience
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience and managing employees
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field
  • Background in Human Resources preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Experience with HRIS and ATS platforms

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Accountable for providing excellent customer service to a variety of businesses, through all stages of the employee life cycle
  • Ensuring onboarding and employee care is functioning at it’s highest level
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Hiring Leaders and other team members in Shared Services
  • Oversee achievement and maintenance of service standards
  • Connect with clients via phone and create an experience where employees know they have been heard and understood and feel valued and important, which is accomplished by:
    • Effectively listening
    • Quickly identifying and owning onboarding issues
    • Actively search for solutions to problems
    • Making quality decisions
    • Interacting with a globally diverse group of customers and colleagues
    • Computer skills and comfort with navigating web-based and onboarding software applications, email, instant messaging, and internet searches
  • Implement onboarding process with new acquisitions
  • Coach and guide other members of the Onboarding team
  • Provide subject matter expertise and act as a strategic resource in all areas of onboarding
  • Partner with members of the Onboarding team in managing projects, improving onboarding processes for clients
  • Establishes and maintains feedback loops to ensure service is meeting standards.

  • Has keen business insight and understands business metrics

General Working Conditions:

This position entails standing for long periods of time.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects.  The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.  This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens.  The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.  Occasional travel to different locations may be required.
