Position Summary:

The Senior Director of Life Enrichment is responsible for coaching, training, developing and providing direction to a team of Regional Life Enrichment Directors in order to successfully empower and inspire our residents to Shine.Everyday. This person will lead and oversee all Life Enrichment efforts and focus on the overall experience of our customers. They will work strategically to improve processes and performance and partner closely with various business teams within the organization to deliver results and positive outcomes.


Required Experience for Senior Director of Life Enrichment:

  • Compassionate towards the senior population
  • Associates degree of equivalent from two-year college or technical school
  • Minimum of 5 years team leadership/management experience.
  • Experience in memory care programming.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication and presentation skills.
  • Must possess a high level of self-accountability and have the capacity to hold team members accountable and work effectively in a deadline driven environments.
  • Knowledge of basic financial acumen (P&L, Proforma, etc…)
  • Experienced in motivating and inspiring teams to achieve goals.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, complete assignments accurately, work independently, and manage time effectively.
  • Must exhibit a high degree of initiative and creativity, good judgment, and professional ethics.
  • Must possess strong leadership skills to work effectively both independently and as a team.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for clients.
  • Ability to plan strategically; take ideas from concept to successful implementation.
  • Strong believer of teamwork, performance excellence and continuous improvement.



Primary Responsibilities for Senior Director of Life Enrichment:

  • Work with Regional Life Enrichment Directors on a consistent basis evaluating their interaction with teams, providing them with coaching and feedback on calendar creativity, life enrichment standards and overall performance and job duties.
  • Live and breathe our 1440 company culture by creating the absolute best experience with every person, in every interaction, every minute of every day.
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction monthly to Regional Life Enrichment Directors in order to inspire and empower residents to Shine. Everyday.
  • Work closely with Life Enrichment Leadership Team, peers and home office personnel to achieve objectives surrounding personal and team Life Enrichment goals.
  • Spending adequate field time with direct reports to mentor, develop and drive results.
  • Work with Marketing and Business Development Teams to share inspiring stories.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of team members long term goals and dream big ideas.
  • Basic knowledge of state licensure requirements for assisted living and memory care communities.
  • Prepares and manages all relative reports.
  • Travel Required
  • Work closely with leadership team, peers and home office personnel to achieve objectives surrounding personal and goals of the organization.
  • The Senior Director of Life Enrichment will communicate comfortably and effectively with all levels of the organization
