  • Overview

    As a Construction Superintendent, you will travel from project to project with the primary focus will be at the punch process through warranty phase.

     

    Required Experience for a Construction Superintendent:

    • High School Diploma, GED, or college degree from an university or technical school; 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Proficient in all aspects of construction and property management maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural, and appliance repair; experience with drywall repairs and painting are essential
    • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondences
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
    • Ensure quality exceeds our standards

    Primary Responsibilities of a Construction Superintendent:

    • Operates various types of tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
    • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other internal and external team members.
    • Identifies and reports broken equipment or uncertain conditions via communication chain.
    • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and safe condition that meets safety regulations.
    • Performs preventative maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds as required.
    • Maintains a positive Customer Service attitude in interactions with staff and property residents.
    • Ability to use software such as Yardi, Procore and Microsoft Office.
