    Position Summary for Learning & Development Generalist:

    The Learning and Development Generalist is responsible for engaging employees through learning and development training and tools. This position assesses company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable solutions for employees. This position actively searches, creatively designs and implements effective methods to educate, enhance performance and recognize achievements.

     

    Requirements for Learning & Development Generalist:

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Human Resources exposure
    • Comfort in collaborative & competitive environments
    • Learning Management Systems (LMS) exposure
    • Familiarity with teaching aids that assist in training, such as visual aids, webinars, and computer tutorials, among others
    • Experience with e-learning software and authoring applications
    • Innovative mindset

     

    Primary Responsibilities for Learning & Development Generalist:

    • Collaborate regularly with employees and leaders to support CSIG procedures, business initiatives, technologies, etc.
    • Consult Subject Matter Experts to build and organize training curriculums
    • Clearly communicate and accomplish training goals and change management
    • Enhance training retention using varying instructional delivery modes and methods
    • Collect, develop and deliver tools, training and plans for employee engagement and development
    • Coordination and facilitation of individual training, group training, leader demonstrations, conferences, and workshops.
    • Leverage and maximize LMS effectiveness as an employee engagement tool. 
    • Establish and maintain accurate training records and corresponding metrics.
    • Oversee reporting on employee training progress to business leaders and supervisors.
    • Create and maintain a medium for receiving feedback from employees regarding effectiveness of training methods.
    • Contribute to the optimization of our culture by modeling high performing behaviors and building healthy relationships that strengthen our team

     

    General Working Conditions for Learning & Development Specialist:
    This position may entail sitting or standing for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Occasional travel to different locations may be required.
